England’s Theo Walcott missed the final 23-man World Cup squad Tuesday, after four years was a surprise choice to go to the biggest soccer tournament.

The Arsenal midfielder has long said that he felt did not deserve to go to the 2006 World Cup when as a 17 year old forward, who has yet to play in the Premier League game, he was selected before the new experienced players.

Four years later, England coach Fabio Capello has decided increasingly seen Joe Cole and Shaun Wright-Phillips before a player who never made it onto the field in Germany, and struggled this season.

Defensive midfielder Gareth Barry appeared in the party’s leaders to South Africa on Wednesday, despite the ankle injury which is still the rule England’s opening group match against him in the United States on June 12.

Italy in final 23-man
Italy Camoranesi for injury, despite it American-born forward Giuseppe Rossi and AC Milan striker Marco Borriello left Italy’s World Cup team.

Coach Marcello Lippi was sent home goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu, Mattia Cassano and defender midfielder Andrea Cossu announced after a final 23-man team on Tuesday.

Midfielder Mauro Camoranesi left the team despite the injury to his left knee during training on Tuesday.
